  6. These GIF have been provided for your enjoyment and convenience only.  The GIF snapshots do not need to be installed to use your Electronic PictureBook.

  8. GIF files can viewed on Macintosh, DOS/Windows, and many UNIX platforms.  To view the GIF snapshots, an image viewer capable of displaying GIF images is needed.  There are several Shareware and Freeware GIF viewers such as GIFConverter, GIFViewer, and QuickGIF.

These applications are available for downloading  from virtually any online service such as  CompuServe and America Online, as well as many anonymous FTP sites on the Internet.  An example of an FTP site that would have a GIF viewer is the University of Michigan Macintosh Files Archive at Internet address: mac.archive.umich.edu.
